Average Heart Rate: 143bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 212bpm Notes: I ran into a group of hikers at the end of todays run. It was quite a surprise. I let my self control go after passing them because I felt I was late getting back to work and tried to run too fast up Poplar trail.

Average Heart Rate: 142bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 157bpm Notes: Not having as good a day. I forgot to close up the pocket on the back of my jacket yesterday and lost one of the ice spikes out the back. I spent the middle part of todays run trying not to slip on the ice and looking for the missing ice spikes. I found them near the junction of Mel's trail and the Trans Canada trail but didn't need them anymore today.

Average Heart Rate: 138bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 155bpm Notes: Again through the trails and through Naheeno park. Today was much better than yesterday. I didn't feel as clumsy and didn't trip at all. The ice spikes came in handy on the North side of the mountain. The Trans Canada trail has very little tree cover but lots of traffic. The snowfall had quickly been converted to a layer of ice.

Average Heart Rate: 139bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 155bpm Notes: I've found some more interesting trails in the central area of the SFU campus. This is the old Naheeno park and it's a little surreal. In the middle of the forest with a few single track trails is a wooden swingset and some climbing structures cut out of logs. There's a barrel converted to a garbage can, but no other sign of being in a park.

Average Heart Rate: 138bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 152bpm Notes: I was shocked by the length of this weeks long run! I finished the loop and found that I had to turn West and keep running for quite a distance to get to the ensure I completed the time when I got home. Next time I'll have to make the loop bigger. Maybe head off Northeast when I start.

Average Heart Rate: 138bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 154bpm Notes: My Saturday runs are getting longer both through increases in time and in pace. I used to think that going from my house, around Central Park and back was a really long run.

Average Heart Rate: 140bpm Maximum Heart Rate: 179bpm Notes: Today the GPS cut out altogether part way through the run. I had a good time on the trails and did well though.
